Brandon H. and Samuel S. are Sophomores at SPHS in second year engineering. We'recurrently building robots and having fun while documenting our work!1!11!!!

SolidWorks 2.0...With a Claw
WEEK 10
Today, Brandon is AP testing. We have accomplished most of our goals, and got the tetrahedron challenge done. This week, we are still waiting to use the tetrahedron base, but we have made do with an upside down chair. We also need to upload the SolidWorks 'profiles'.

Sit and Wait
Week 10
We haven't made much progress on the robot this class. We are done building, but we need to put the pyramid of straws on to the tower of polls. We not only need to get the straws to make the pyramid, but its also being used so we must wait. We're finishing up on Solidworks, checking other blogs and comparing our bots. While we wait we are testing the robot as in getting use to the "tank controls"Friday, May 11, 2018
Moving The CLAW
WEEK 9
Wednesday I added the fingers to the claw and replaced a bent part. I also fixed the wheel that fell off. We are starting to find the program that will allow the claw to move, along with the robot. We also worked on and finished the base of claw bot, and now we need to make the claw to attach it. We have the code to allow us to control the claw, and after we do the 60 second challenge, we can start the autonomous challenge, which we also have the base for.Monday, May 7, 2018
Claw Boi=Completion
WEEK 9
Today we made the most progress we have in a while. We are almost done with our claw all we have to do is add the 'finger'. The Solidworks it's pretty much half way done, Brandon just needs to mirror it and add the battery. Next class hopefully we can start testing our claw and start putting in our commands.Thursday, May 3, 2018
Starting Claw Officially
WEEK 8
We have officially started to make the claw. I hope it doesn't take as long as the figure 8 did. This week we are only in class one day, so we only have one entry. We figured out how to make the claw and attach the motor.Friday, April 27, 2018
Moving On
WEEK 7
Our blogs have no consistent theme or style, so this weekend I want to work on formatting our blog. We accomplished speeding up our robot, and successfully completed the figure 8. We have fixed 3 out of 4 of the long axles. I'm almost done rebuilding the Solidworks robot, so when the claw is done, all we have to do is add it on top. Finally, we moved the battery to the front of our bot, and flipped the cortex around, leaving more space in the back for the claws base. We also added the two beams for the claw.Monday, April 23, 2018
Re-Do and Restart
Week 7
This week will be very stressful because we have super testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we'll be missing days that we need to rebuild our robot. We restarted, and made the robot go faster, but we're still behind. I need to come in during study hall to fix the long axles and collars. We also need to start making a claw, in SolidWork because we restarted, and real life.Thursday, April 19, 2018
Getting Closer

Catch UP
Last week, Brandon was absent a lot, and I missed a day too. We will start naming our posts instead of putting dates, and we will take turns for Monday and Friday posts. Our figure eight is almost done, today we will finish it up and start planning on how to add a claw to our square bot.

4/9/18
Today we have finished at least one lap in the figure 8. We are halfway done with our Solidworks robot, and we are getting more done today. Today we don't have much to do just get our parts done and hopefully be done by the end of the week and turn it in on time Friday. Samuel also cleaned up the cart.

4/5/18
Today we fixed all of the blog posts, because we were behind. We finally got help from Fionna finding the solidworks parts, and have started the assembly of them. We have fixed all of our coding problems too. We are almost done coding the bot for the autonomous figure eight.

4/3/18
We still need to find the SolidWorks parts, because we haven't got the Vex website parts to work. We also need to find or create some sort of code that will make our robot drive autonomously. We, finally, need to fix the coding errors from last week, and make sure the joystick driving function is working properly.

Because of a lot of sub days, we were working a long time to get badges, but we didn't get as many as we would like; that's why today we are doing virtual worlds. We messed up, and Samuel lost all his badges, because he did't make an account. Brandon had to get all the Palm island badges. Sam worked on recovering the Ruins of Atlantis, and we accomplished our goal of 30 badges. We also printed our battery holder and drove our bot to Mr. Marten

3/20/18
Today is Monday, and we need to fix the dates on our blogs. We also need to find time to print our Vex battery holder. Our robot's structure is complete, and now we need to code and program it to drive. Today all we are going to do is edit the blogs an print the battery holder. Next class we will program the robot to drive.

3/16/18
Today is Friday, and we finally finished our robot! We are starting to code already and then we will drive it to Mr. Martin. We still haven't found the part for solid works yet. Everything else we have done but we still haven't tested it yet but we are getting there. We also need to come in and print our battery holder.

Week Two Engineering Notebook
This week we have to upload our last week posts, and create pages for our Bios. We need to update our site so our bios are easily accessible. We need to finish clearing out our cart and then get it checked. Finally we need to find the parts for the Solidworks robot. Next class we are going to start to build our robot.
